By Appreciable Goodfaithpoet
Well, I've been lonely lately,
And it's a bitter pill.
Must I wait until I'm married?
If you want me to I will.
My arms have seemed so empty,
And they are empty still.
You said, “Wait until your married.”
And you know, dear Lord, I will.
And when I've found my sweetheart,
With your approving seal.
I will marry in the temple.
With your help, dear Lord, I will.
And when our lives are over,
And our poor hearts are still.
Bring us home to dwell with you Lord,
If it be thy holy will. If it be thy holy will.
